Hi!
Hello everyone from America. I cannot believe it is already the New Year and I have been home for a little over a month.
At times it can be really hard when I have been constantly traveling for a year to be home. I am glad to be home, but my heart is for the nations. At the same time I believe God wants me to share what I have experienced this year with the community I have and it has been a blessing to see the stories of God at work in peoples lives. From encouraging people to be more brave, to being built up in faith, it has been powerful to see God at work, even at home.
Since I have been home I have been working as a mail stacker, candle maker and waitress at Copper River. It feels really weird to be a waitress as I was working in missions for years. But, it is a means to an end and I am grateful for the work in this season of life.
I have also been battling some depression since being back and distraction. It has been a constant battle, but God has given me prayer partners and some quiet places to be with Him. Also, my Grandma is living with us! I wasn’t sure when I would see her again and now she lives with us! She isn’t feeling well lately, so please pray for her. We think it might be covid.
Now, for the Laos update. Coming into the States I had a vision to go to Laos for a month and then come back to the States and save. But, for practicality sake I think I am going to skip the visions trip and just move there in 4-6 months. I already have a job lined up as a volunteer teacher, where I would teach English and they would teach me Lao. It is a really easy way to get a work visa and my first mission would be with the school, sharing Jesus with the students I was teaching. After that, Lord willing, (when I learn the languge) I would transition into a position to help grow the Women and Childrens ministry. I won’t give names currently, as I am trying to keep them well covered and when I know I have permission to share them.
Financially it is a lot cheaper to live in Laos, but I won’t be making any money while I am there, so I am hoping these next several months of working and raising money will give me enough for two years. After that I am not sure how God wants to provide, but I will trust Him with either other supporters, or an online job for 2-3 hours a day.
Please pray for me in this season of preparation, that my mind would not just be focused on the future, but on this Jesus man Himself. Please also pray that as I am working, raising money and getting my online teaching certificate, that there would be supernatural strength. Please also pray as I pour into the people in front of me that I would not been given over to negativity, but love and grace. Lastly, pray as I learn the language, that I would be patient with myself and well disciplined.
I love you all and so does Jesus! If you would like to financially support me, feel free to message me! If you cannot at this time please pray for me and consider buying my prayer candles. Everytime you light one, you can be reminded to pray. Feel free to message me for info, (864)557-1454, or [email protected]. I am also on facebook!
