So, I have been sharing with different groups of people where I am going and what I will be doing. Here is just a little update about Laos and what life is like right now…

This isn’t going to be a super exciting update, as I am not in Laos yet. But, Lord willing I will be soon. Recently, in the last few weeks I felt like there were so many victories. To start I got my online teaching certificate. That was a 120 hour course for teaching English as a foreign language. I then also was able to get my vaccination, covid id, medical insurance and fill-out my greenpass to board the plane. This all happened recently. So, all I have left is getting my visa and of course all the small details towards the end.

My plane leaves the 16th of May. I will be in Cambodia for a couple days before I fly into Laos. I am really excited to see another country beforehand and it was a lot cheaper to do that than try to fly directly to Laos.

The last few weeks have been so sweet. I have had customers that I am waiting on at the restaurant donate to my trip. Coworkers buying my candles and wanting to be supportive. Churches and house churches that I have shared with that have been so kind. The house church that I go to has been so sweet and like my second family. They have already prayed over me and bought the rest of my candles.

This next month is going to be full of the grace of God. There have been mountains to climb and impossible doors to open. But God has been and will be so good. He has called me as a prophet to the nations. I am so grateful to be His servant and to carry about His will, the salvation of souls.

Maybe some may think you need to do something that the world thinks is big to serve the Lord. I would challenge that in saying that of we are obedient to what God calls us to, then we are building the kingdom together.

  2. Thank you Josiah! That means a lot. I cannot wait to read your book and see how God uses that as well!
