Hey guys!

I wanted to share some amazing stories since being on this trip. Also, I want to type them out to remember some of them. So, let’s get started, shall we?

Guatemala:

We had church in a car garage. The pastor we were working with was starting a new church and going into the villages to share Jesus and build relationships. The first little while only a handful of people were showing up. By the time we left they had at least 25, if not more that were coming. The garage was full and the pastor was forming connections with other churches, so they could all work together.

In Antigua we were learning about praying in the Spirit of Christ and following Him to people who wanted to hear from Him. One time we were praying and my team mate Rachel got the picture of a police woman. We went towards the cross of the city, because the Lord had said the heart of the city. When we went there a police lady approached us! We ended up praying for her and her police partner.

Also, in Antigua we were street evangelizing and I ended up sitting down with a couple and spent the evening encouraging them in the faith. They also challenged me in boldness as I was telling them about boldness. I went and got my first tattoo with them. I got my second one a couple days later. Don’t worry, I’m only planning on those two, at least for this year.

Costa Rica:

We were at a hotel to get WiFi and went to ask a couple if they knew of any Spanish churches in the area. My team mate Madison and I ended up talking with them for three hours. We brought so much truth to lies they believed about Christianity as the guy had been in the tv show business for years!

There were countless people we met in Jaco that we connected with the church. One of the many stories was a lady and her daughter that we met on the beach. Of course the Lord had lead us to that exact spot. We were following His direction. The Mom was a Christian, but the daughter was not. The daughter could not argue what happened next. My squad mate Kev went off on a spiritual rant and then said her foot was in pain. She had never mentioned it. The Lord had said it would be healed in the morning and when I texted her she was pain free!

When we got to San Jose in Costa Rica a homeless man on the street have his life to Christ and another man asked us to pray over his family. His wife let him with four kids, one of which had Down Syndrome. We prayed over him, anointed him with oil and prayed over his room, where he said he had bad thoughts at night. There is a lot of detail that goes with that story, that would take a chapter to write!

I had a personal freedom session to put to rest some of the things from my past. During that time the man leading is spoke into the time when a curse was spoken over me about my asthma. Since then I have had some mucus, but the pressure on my chest is gone! I tried out my new lungs after that and had run for 1 1/2 miles! I haven’t been able to do that since I was a teenager, because my asthma had been so bad. The Lord also wanted me to trust Him and told me to throw away my inhaler. I did, because I trust Him.

The Lord told me to rely on Him for providing my needs. Since being on this trip I have accumulated $2,500! I’m so close to my financial goal and I have some still coming in for spending money from candle selling back home.

The Lord has been so good and it has been amazing to see Him working. All I do is be obedient and He let‘s me partner with Him in the process.

                                                          Love, Elizabeth
