Hello beautiful people!

I’m sitting in the local mall trying to get a good WiFi connection to update people. I’ve only been here for three days now. The plan Lord willing is to leave the 20th and go to Costa Rica.

Our ministry host is amazing! His Mom has spoiled us with some amazing food. They pour themselves into us. It’s been hard for me because they only speak Spanish. Google translate has been helpful and some of my team have been really good with translating for us. I’ve also been trying to learn more Spanish.

In the three days I have been here we visited people in their homes and listened to their stories. We have brought clean water filters to them and shared with them encouragement as a lot of people here need it. We have also done a children’s church and taught them about the paralytic man who walked. We also have church tonight which is an American/Central American church.

The culture here is similar and different to American culture. We have a lot of social interactive similarities. A lot of the women here that live in poverty often times sell themselves into prostitution. There are also a lot of abandoned children that are being cared for by their grandparents. It’s sad to hear  their stories but give encouragement, along with food. But often times we can see their only hope is Christ. We will be obedient to Christ while we are working here, but then we have to leave and then leave it in God’s hands. God will use our obedience to carry about a good work.

Love everyone!
