Hello everyone!!!

We just had training camp for a week in the mountains of GA. It was so refreshing and exciting! It really got us pumped up for the mission trip and gave us so many tools to get as prepped as we can for the trip. We had teaching sessions, team building and information to get us ready for the trip. 

Let me tell you, I’ve never been more grateful for food and showers after that week as I‘ve been in my entire life. I don’t know what it was. I’ve been on week long canoe trips and I love being outside, but the lack of sleep, sleeping on the ground, having portioned food, having no bathroom, just Portapotties and bucket showers really made me miss my home comforts. It really made me realize that I’m going to be without consistency and comfort for a year. I don’t mind it, I just don’t want to be attached to my comfort, at the same time trying to make where my team is going to be for the time being a home.

With the trip I’ve been given the responsibility of helping to lead out the ministry, Beauty for Ashes. I will be trained on how to lead our women’s conferences that we will be able to do at the host ministries we will be at. I don’t fully know what it’s going to look like, but I’ve been given a lot of information I will be studying up on. 

We also have been given a pretty good idea for the route of next year, Lord willing.  We don’t know what countries, depending on what borders are open. We want to start in South America, from there Europe and then Asia. We are praying and interceding for Christ to lead us wherever He wants us to go. 

That’s the summary of last week. Grateful for the experience. We, as a squad shared tears, prayers, honesty, vulnerability and some crickets with 100 year old eggs. That’s another story for another time. I’m grateful for this week and can’t wait to see what God has in these next couple of months, before the trip in January.

Prayer requests…

-That everyone will get the necessary funds for the trip –

-That we will share the Gospel now, not just when we are oversees

-That we will put in the Full Armor of God, as many of us are experiencing spiritual attacks right now

    I can confidently say that you are now much more the embodiment of what Paul told both the Philippian church and young Timothy, in regards to creature comfort’s and Tackling with peace and joy the hard things in going without.
